Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Aaromé different from commercial soaps?

Most commercial cleansing bars are designed for scale and shelf life. Aaromé is designed for ritual.

Our soaps are handcrafted using the traditional cold-process method, allowing us to retain the naturally occurring glycerin created during soapmaking. This glycerin helps attract moisture to the skin and contributes to the gentle feel of every bar.

We formulate with cold-pressed oils, nourishing butters, botanicals, clays, and essential oils — choosing ingredients for their purpose, not simply their label appeal.

No sulfates. No harsh detergents. No unnecessary additives.

Just thoughtfully crafted soap made the slower way.

How long does a bar last?

With proper care, an Aaromé bar is designed to accompany many weeks of daily ritual.

Longevity depends largely on how the bar is stored between uses. Keeping it on a well-draining soap dish and allowing it to dry completely will help it remain firm and last significantly longer.

For best results, see our Bar Care Guide.

Why do your soaps cure for 8 weeks?

Patience is part of the process.

Cold-process soap requires time for the transformation of oils and lye into a gentle, finished bar. During curing, excess water gradually evaporates, the bar hardens, and the soap reaches its optimal quality and longevity.

Many makers shorten this stage.

We don't.

Every Aaromé bar is given the time it needs before it reaches your hands.

Are Aaromé soaps suitable for sensitive skin?

Our bars are formulated without sulfates, parabens, harsh detergents, or unnecessary synthetic additives.

Several varieties, particularly Lavender Calm and Velvet Honey, are crafted with gentle, nourishing ingredients often preferred by those seeking a milder cleansing experience.

As every person's skin is unique, we recommend reviewing the full ingredient list on each product page before purchasing, especially if you have known sensitivities or allergies.

What ingredients do you use?

Every Aaromé bar begins with a carefully balanced foundation of cold-pressed olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and castor oil.

From there, each bar develops its own character through ingredients such as raw honey, goat milk, kasturi manjal, activated charcoal, botanical clays, lavender, vetiver, attars, and essential oils.

We believe in transparency. Every ingredient is listed in full on its respective product page.

Nothing hidden. Nothing unnecessary.

Do you ship across India?

Yes.

We currently ship across most serviceable pin codes in India through our delivery partners. Estimated delivery timelines are typically between 3–7 business days, depending on your location.

Tracking details are shared as soon as your order is dispatched.

Can I return or exchange a bar?

Due to the personal nature of handcrafted skincare products, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on opened or used items.

However, if your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the package and product. We will do our best to make it right.

Why are your soaps made in small batches?

Because attention cannot be scaled indefinitely.

Each Aaromé variety is produced in intentionally small batches, allowing us to maintain quality, consistency, and craftsmanship at every stage of the process.

When a batch sells out, the next one requires a full curing cycle before it is ready.

We would rather make less and make it well.
